Bill Stevens has been a performer his while life. As a child he was a member of The Tune Mammals, founded by his father William Stevens. With his mother Carolyn, and his sisters Katie & Becca, he performed and recorded witty children’s music written by his father. The family band released two records: No Bath Today and Too Cute To Spank, and toured throughout the country. Outside the family band, Bill also had an illustrious childhood career in theater. He worked extensively with the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival and The Monomoy Theater.
Later in life he developed a passion for live music performance. He played in several amazing bands: Gomachi, The SoloS Unit, Liquor House Soul Revue, Rufus Grove, and even toured with the Artimus Pyle Band for a few years. These days he tours regularly with The Lee Boys, Big Daddy Love, and Yarn. He also serves as band leader in a jazz/funk fusion band – The Camel City Collective.
Throughout his career, he has performed with such notable artists as Oteil Burbridge, Kofi Burbridge, Artimus Pyle, George Clinton, Jeff Sipe, Calvin Napper, Ivan Hampden, Jr., John Ellis, Geoff Vidal, and Donna the Buffalo.
